Statistics of Kutai Timur Regency Monitors Rural Price Developments with SHPed

[Rural Price Survey]

Hi #sobatdata, this week Rural Price Survey Data Collection (SHPed) activities are underway.

The Rural Price Survey (SHPed) is carried out by the BPS-Statistics Indonesia (BPS) regularly every month, including monitoring developments in prices of agricultural commodities along with prices of production factors used by farmers from the production side and monitoring developments in prices of goods and services consumed by households in rural areas in terms of consumption.

Monitoring developments in prices of goods and services from both sides is used to calculate NTP in the form of the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) and the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib). Apart from that, monitoring developments in prices of goods and services from the consumption side is useful for building the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) which is used in calculating inflation or deflation levels in rural areas.

Statistics of Kutai Timur Regency monitors developments in rural prices in 9 sub-districts, namely North Sangatta, South Sangatta, Bengalon, Teluk Pandan, Rantau Pulung, Muara Wahau, Kongbeng, Sangkulirang and Muara Ancalong sub-districts.
